NHS grapplers give good efforts at State tournament

Nutley High School varsity wrestlers Bobby Trombetta and Vin Scuttaro gave good efforts at the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
Trombetta, a freshman, was quickly eliminated in his first match as he lost to Trevor Albrecht of Bergen Catholic in the preliminary round of the 103-pound weight class on March 5 to finish with a 33-7 record.
Scuttaro, a senior 130-pounder, had a good run. After winning in the preliminary round, Scuttaro lost in the pre-quarterfinals later on March 5.
Scuttaro returned on March 6 and won in the wrestlebacks first round. But Scuttaro’s run ended in the wrestlebacks second round as he finished with a 33-4 record.
