Commissioner Tucci Opens Pre T-Ball Registration for Spring 2012 Season

Commissioner Tucci invites residents to introduce the fun and exciting sport of T-Ball to youngsters currently 5 years old and registering for kindergarten in September. The objective of this program is to teach the basic fundamentals of T-Ball in a non-competitive atmosphere and help prepare children for the next level of Little League.  “A multitude of benefits including the development of social and athletic skills are essential tools in building a solid foundation” stated Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci.  This program introduces youngsters to group instruction as well as allowing them to meet new friends for their first school experience.

A general meeting has been scheduled for March 14, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Parks & Recreation Department, 44 Park Ave, Room 201.   Parents of interested participants are required to attend this meeting to obtain important information. Registration will be immediately following the meeting or you can pre-register online at www.nutleynj.org 

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach or would like more information on the Pre-T Ball Program, please contact the Recreation Department at (973)284-4966, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  All coaches must be certified.  A Rutgers Safety Clinic has been scheduled for March 21, 2012 at the Recreation Department.
