The Nutley High School varsity baseball and softball teams each lost in the first round of their respective North Jersey Section 2, Group 3 tournaments.The baseball team, seeded fifth, lost a tough 4-3 decision in eight innings to 12th-seeded Morristown at the Park Oval. NHS track and field teams earn five medals at County Relay meet

The Nutley High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams brought home five medals from the Essex County Relay Championships on Friday May 4 under the lights at Livingston High School.

The boys’ pole vault team of Rocco Donatiello and Eri Burger was fourth, as Burger cleared 10 feet, 6 inches and Donatiello 10 feet.

NHS girls' basketball team enjoys banner season

The Nutley High School girls’ varsity basketball program was looking to take the next step.

The Lady Raiders perennially had modest success, but when Dana Wynne took over as head coach, there was a sense the team was poised to get over the hump.

Nutley High School varsity wrestlers Robert Trombetta and Nick Gaeta capped off their seasons by earning medals at the state tournament at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
Trombetta, a junior, earned the sixth-place medal at the 120-pound weight class, while Gaeta, a senior, claimed the eighth-place medal at the 195-pound weight class on Sunday March 4. NHS advances five wrestlers to state tournament

For the Nutley High School wrestling team, it's certainly been a season to remember.

NHS wrestling team wins District 14 championship

The Nutley High School varsity wrestling team captured the team title at the District 14 tournament last Saturday Feb. 18 at Livingston High School.

It marked the Raiders' first district championship since 1980.

The Raiders boasted six individual champions: Anthony DeLorenzo, Robert Trombetta, Brandon Keena, Nick Gaeta, Carlos Rosa and Andre Hamlin.
