NHS boys' bowling team gives good effort vs. strong Livingston team

The Nutley High School boys' bowling team lost to Livingston, ranked number 3 in the state, on Tuesday Jan. 24 at Brunswick Zone in Belleville. The Raiders lost all three games but the team did show some improvement, said NHS head coach George Ackerman. The Nutley High School boys' and girls' bowling teams had a busy week, losing to Bloomfield and sweeping Montclair. the boys then lost to Science Park and the girls beat Mount St. Dominic at Brunswick Zone in Belleville.Both teams struggled against a tough Bloomfield squad. Little League registration and tryouts to take place

The Nutley American and Nutley East Little Leagues will be conducting their 2012 league registration on Sunday, Jan. 29 from noon until 2:30 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Building located at 44 Park Ave. Registration is open to all kids residing in Nutley between the league age of 5 and 12 years old (birth date must fall between May 1, 1999 and April 30, 2007). All 5-year-olds must be in kindergarten.

Retired Nutley DEA Agent Arrested for Sexually Abusing Disabled Girl

 Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Nutley Police Chief John U. Holland announced today that retired Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Special Agent Thomas Sheehan, 71, of Nutley was arrested today and charged with sexually abusing a teenage girl.
